Greek Cuisine
Greek food is a fine melody of the finest pressed olive oil, fresh fermented bread, colorful vegetables, juicy meat, sea food all cooked in spices and fresh rosemary. The people from Greek were great scholars who aimed to excel in everything they do. The results are quite visible in their food as they are the inventors of olive oil which is beneficial to health. Greeks also made different type of wines from the best quality of grapes fermented in controlled environment.
Today, you can find hundreds of restaurants offering authentic Greek food or popularly termed as Mediterranean cuisine in New York city alone. People wait in line to taste the exotic Greek dishes like saganaki, taramasalata, souvlaki, loukoumades, spanakopita, moussaka, and many more. One thing which most people like about these authentic Greek dishes is abundant use of lemon juice, olive oil, fresh rosemary and sea salt. A smart mix of few ingredients can virtually take you on the pebble streets of beautiful city of Greece.
For those who don't have time to enjoy fine dining should try tasting the famous souvlaki with pita which is type of meat dish, also a trademark Greek fast food. For those who are vegetarian, or vegan can try different versions of Greek Salad. So, if you wish to enjoy a hearty yet healthy meal that tastes divine then try dining at the best Greek restaurant in your city. Greek cuisine not only tastes good but also help maintain your body in a natural way through healthy diet.

We ordered takeout from this place, and it was solid. The pit it was warm, the chicken kebabs or moist, and the Greek lettuce salad was really good My only major concern with ordering from here is the microwavable rice. This is consistently served at all locations. All in all, it's a great location.

Good value. Since there are few dining options in the Belk shopping center, I was happy to see this open up. I usually get the two chicken skewers/Greek salad/rice combo. Just the right amount of food, you can get in and out in half an hour, the restaurant is tidy. I've also had the hummus which was smooth and well spiced. I'd eat here again any time.

Great sandwiches and salads. Had the chicken salad and it tasted like grandma's. The quinoa salad is incredible.

Great menu items. Food is served hot and fast and in more than adequate portions. Friendly servers. Affordable & healthy fare. Would do again in a heart-beat. Quick and healthy. To go also.

I really like Zoë's. They have a PROPER Greek salad, so that instantly earns them 5 stars. My daughter and I had lunch here. I had the aboved mentioned Greek salad, she got the kid's quesadilla. The quesadilla came out filled with American cheese slices, which my "gourmet kid" won't touch. She took one bite and refused to eat any more. So I asked the nice server if we could trade out her plate for something else. He asked what kind of cheese she normally likes, and when she said cheddar, he smiled and said he could get a fresh dish out to us with cheddar instead. 5 minutes later we are both happily munching away on lunch. The service is friendly, the food comes out is in a timely manner, everything is freshly prepared, and their prices are super reasonable. What's not to love!?!

Great chicken kabobs for dinner tonight! The veggies and chicken were just cooked so they were hot and definitely well seasoned. The salad that came with it was freshly made and delicious! I really enjoyed the dressing that came on it. The kid's cheese quesadilla was huge for my son and so was the fruit bowl it came with. It was definitely more than I expected for $3.50. The service was polite and accommodating. The wait time for our food was not long. I really appreciated that since I had my 3 year old with me. I highly recommend this place if you are gluten free. Plenty of options and the cost is affordable. The atmosphere is great and the food is full of flavor!

The food gets 5 stars, but the service gets 2. We were always fans of Zoes back in Phoenix, where we happened to peruse one location at least twice a month for lunch. We were always able to get in and out in under an hour, even when the place was slammed with other business people on their lunch break. This Zoe's location is nowhere near as quick as our old Zoe's. We have been here twice, and both times we have waited 20 minutes for our food. The first time, the place was decently busy. With that said, last time we were here the restaurant was nearly empty and the food took just as long as the first visit. I appreciate that the food here is made to order, but I also only ordered a sandwich.. Like I said, the food is always delicious. It is great for a quick, semi-healthy meal and there are plenty of options to choose from. I'm obsessed with the rice pilaf here, definitely order that as a side to any entree or sandwich! Can't go wrong!

I really dislike coming to Mt Pleasant especially to the Towne Centre even worse during the holidays. I really wanted to hate this place. I couldn't. The place reminded me of a Moe's and Panera Bread mixture of ambiance. I expected everyone to say welcome to Zoe's. The Panera reference ha to do with horrible seating arrangements which made me really really want to hate this place. That being said the line went quickly the menu although confusing pointed me towards the Steak Kabobs and a Chicken Kabobs entree. I found a seat and the plates were delivered within minutes. I really did expect to wait a while the whole time finding something to dislike. Thinking that I just paid $27 for 2 kabobs and 2 drinks and this is going to be a lot more food then I want to eat. When I saw my entree I did find that the portion to be worth the price tag I had just given for steak but the chicken looked more than plentiful. Ok I must say... Everything was delicious. The flavored of the steak and the medium cook was perfect The roasted vegetables were not pretty but you can tell they were fresh and they had the same fresh grilled flavor the steak had. The "grilled" potato salad was cold but it was delicious. I wasn't expecting it to be grilled. Now the chicken kabob had a classic Greek gyro type of flavoring that would have been great with tzaziki sauce. This came with rice and Greek salad both of which was enjoyable. Be careful using the salad dressing in the table. We put too much and it ended up over powering the flavors of the salad pre-dressing. I left very happy and content to the point where everything was perfectly balanced inside my belly! Thank you for bringing me back around to the goodness that could be had in Mt Pleasant even during the holiday bustle.
(5)Jeff J.
I had the steak kabob. It took 5 minutes of chewing per chunk of meat to get the meat separated from the hard fat. I used 5 napkins to spit out the remaining fat chunks. The seasoning was the best part of that meal. They need to work on providing a better meat selection.

The Zoe's club sandwich was a healthier option and still tasty! Very clean establishment seemingly frequented by health conscious folk. Good for a change.

Omg. So happy I came here for dinner. I was lusting after something healthy and fresh after a few days of (delicious) Charleston grub. I've never been to this chain, but the concept seemed interesting. I ordered the Greek salad w grilled chicken which surpassed my expectations. The chicken was delicious and the vegetables were sooo fresh despite it being 8:30 pm. The Greek olives and feta were outstanding. My boyfriend got the steak kabobs which he said were good, but I could tell he was a little jealous of my salad. Highly recommend this place. Thank you guys again!

This place is the perfect addition to Town Center. I love walking and shopping around there all afternoon and then hit up Zoe's for lunch. I love their decor and choice of colors. It's so inviting and has a wonderful friendly feel. The employees are always super helpful and pleasant to order from. Their Tossed Greek Salad has the following ingredients: flat-grilled chicken, greens, pasta salad, caramelized onions, cucumbers, red onions, feta, tossed with Zoës dressing. It is arguably the best salad in Mt. P. Absolutely my favorite. To be honest, you don't even need the dressing because the chicken is done so well. They can grill a chicken breast to perfection every single time! It's always perfectly seasoned and juicy. Also, if you like hummus with pita, look no further. I won't go anywhere else, nor will I ever buy store brand any longer after having theirs. It's SO creamy, again seasoned just right and mouth watering. So if you want a super healthy and delicious lunch, definitely check this place out.

Love this place in Mount Pleasant. I always get the chicken kabobs, rice, and salad. The chicken and rice were full of flavor. Overall, the meal was quite tasty and healthy. The cookie wasn't so bad either. (I'm not talking about hIt took me two days to eat it!
(5)Darius G.
If you're looking for Mediterranean style food served in a bright, modern setting, this place has a few good things ti try out. Everything we've tried has been well done overall. The tomato bisque may be a bit heavy on the garlic for some, but the hummus was smooth, the salmon kabobs tasty, and the steak kabobs so nicely seasoned I rarely order anything else.
(4)Carol G.
The main entrance is not actually on Belk drive, but on the opposite side so we had a little difficulty getting in. The food was good and the service was good. Not too expensive and you get a free side with the order of a sandwich. I ordered the Steak Stack and roasted vegetables. I will try a pita next time.

Had never heard of Zoës until they popped up in Towne Centre one day. I came in about a week after they opened with no idea what it was or what to expect. Best way to describe it is like a Chipolte for Greek food. You order at the counter and pay, then sit down and they bring you your meal. I'm surprised there's no lamb on the menu considering that is a staple of Greek but, plenty of options nonetheless. I went with the Shrimp Kabob entree. Aside from two big Kabobs with shrimp and zucchini, the entree comes with rice pilaf, two pieces of pita, a side Greek salad, and a ramekin of cucumber salad. Plenty of food. The shrimp was great and not too small either. At the counter, they asked if we wanted an app of hummus to go with our meal which we declined. She made a mistake and put it on there anyway. When she brought it out and realized her mistake, she told us to enjoy the hummus anyway and immediately refunded me for the app. Minor mistake and taken care of properly and professionally. Definitely a good addition to the shopping plaza when you need something quick that isn't fast food. I will be back for sure.

To be honest, I think this place benefits a lot from being one of the few of its kind in Mt. P. There's not a lot of healthier to go food around here (No idea why, as those places tend to thrive in bourgie health-conscious areas such as this,) and Zoe's fits the bill for that. The food is fine. If you're in the mall and want something that isn't Qdoba, it's your best option. But the meals always seem sorta thrown together and blah to me- take the protein power plate, which sounds good in theory but it just bland dry chicken chunks thrown over a pile of cabbage. My turkey stack tasted ok, but it had barely any spread and the lettuce had all fallen out. My 12 year old sister can make a more impressive sandwich. The rice pilaf was waaay too salty. I could go on. The kebabs and roll ups are a much better choice, but even those I find a little flavorless compared to more authentic ones I've had in bigger cities. Also, this isn't unique to Zoe's, but beware the calorie counts- some of their stuff tops out at 1000, and the sides are weirdly high too. I dunno, maybe I'm hating too much on this place. It's fine! I'd recommend it simply because there's not a lot else around here besides Tazikis that does this kind of thing. I just sort of want more from it, which is to say I really want more from Mt. Pleasant in the way of healthier food options.

After eating here lots and lots of times after my intial visit, I figured it was time for an update. I still love Zoes. I like that they serve relatively healthy food that I can pick up and go in a short amount of time. And the price is completely reasonable. I still love getting the chicken pita but here lately, I've been getting the chicken kabobs and I sub the grilled veggies for the rice pilaf. Their hummus is pretty good, too but I've found I like it a lot better when I order it fresh than getting a to-go container of it. Also, I do agree with a couple of other reviews that say the chicken can be bland at times. However, I always make sure to get some Spice of Life to add to my chicken and problem solved. It's in a jar usually by the teas but if you can't find it, just ask an employee and they'll bring some out for you. Their cookies are baked freshed daily and are almost the size of your head. They have them purposely right there by the register and it takes serious willpower not to get one every single time I go in there. Tip: Download the Zoes app and you'll get a free goodie (anything from a free drink, cookie, side item, whatever) for every receipt you upload.

Our first visit was decent enough, although the chicken kabobs were rather dry. The hummus was the highlight. On our second visit we had very flavorful steak kabobs, happily revisited the hummus, and tried the Greek salad. Though, perhaps, not "traditional" I appreciated that the olives in the salad were pitted. Both times we received friendly service, in a clean dining area. The one major letdown was the lukewarm chicken with orzo, which was served with a very watery tomato sauce. The manager stopped by to ask our opinion, so I let him know we loved the steak kabobs but were disappointed with the chicken orzo. He apologized and treated us to a free chocolate chunk cookie. It was amazing. Between the cookie, and the manager's receptive attitude, I will definitely be back for more steak kabobs and hummus.

Consistently amazing for lunch every time I go, which is several times a week. Very friendly and fast. Fresh and delicious

There are few places like this in Mt P. Zoe's Kitchen offers great food with good ingredients at a fair price. I have been there probably a dozen times and have ordered takeout several others. The family orders are also a great way to take the stress out of preparing an extravagant meal. If it's your first go around I would recommend either the chicken or steak kabobs. I fell in love with the greuben sandwich and tomato soup they have then moved on to try the Rollups which are amazing. Try the combo mix of chicken and spinach for the best of both worlds. My wife loves the Greek salad and the chicken salad sandwich which are both favorites of mine as well. You can play Greek Roulette with the menu and find something you will love. Make sure you download the Zoe's app on your smart phone for a free gift. I got a free 1/2 pt of in house made hummus that is great. Fun fact: Zoe's means LIFE in Greek.

I'm the former catering manager of Zoes Kitchen and although I've really enjoyed eating Zoes at other locations, I'd recommend patrons spend their money at another location that treats its employees more fairly. I left because of my constantly missing commission and abysmal pay. Mt. Pleasant Zoes-goers, did you know...When you tip the employees here, the manager insists that employees turn in the tip money (or be fired), then uses the money as her personal Starbucks fund or to pay off people here illegally working in the kitchen (for you front of the house employees, did you know they already make 30%-50% more than you? That's right, that guy from mexico who isn't a citizen and claims six kids makes $12-$13 an hour while you make $9 or $10, and then he gets a $50 gift card bought with your tip money every week.) Why? It's easier to find english-speaking students as part time workers not as worried about their hourly pay to work front of the house in this affluent neighborhood than it is to find someone willing to be stuffed in the back making kabobs for 50 hours a week until their head explodes.) The company's upper management insists the management clock out even though they work 70-80 hour weeks so that their hours look like a normal 40-50 hour week, creating a huge liability were one of them to be hurt on the job while clocked out. None of the kitchen staff speaks english, so the efforts to get them to stick to 7 minute ticket times is a joke, resulting in the long lines you wait in every time you come here and waiting again for your food---so long, half-hour lunch! The manager's abrupt attitude has had several employees storming out and quitting on the spot, then she chases them out to the parking lot, freaking out local shoppers but don't worry, she's in good with the boss so he'll never know how conniving she really is. Your "fresh squeezed" limeade comes from a jug and that "fresh" chicken/egg/tuna salad and hummus served up on your plate was pulled from the cooler because it was about to go bad and served up as today's fresh lunch. YUM! **update--she recently left the company after 5 yrs...probably due to her trouble managing this place. However watch out for her crappy attitude ruining the culture of dinner spot "sol" just down the street. Good thing I tried it already.** Although paying other catering managers in the area their proper commission (a measly 3% AFTER selling $10,000 worth of food in a 4 week period), my commission was missing on 50% of my paychecks while employed and although I gave proper notice and followed all rules, I was cheated out of $390 of commission on $23,000 of catering I worked hard to sell. Please Mt. Pleasant, spend your money elsewhere. The 'company culture' here is especially bad.

Already being in Towne Center and not wanting to cook on a Friday night, I found myself finally trying Zoe's for dinner. My opinion? YES! Though there's a fair amount to choose from, the Veggie Pita Pizza instantly called to me and I loved that it came with a side Greek Salad, all for only $8.39. The pita was perfectly baked and crispy, but not overdone and covered with tomato chunks, caramelized onions, mushrooms, zucchini, basil, mozzarella, and feta. It was delicious! The side salad was also very good, with cucumbers, olives, bell peppers, and lots of feta...plus, more pita! I think it's cool that they make their greek dressing in-house and have it on the table. Though the dining area up front (near the registers) seems kind of small - aka: all of the tables were taken, if you walk back through the hallway there's a whole other dining room near the other entrance! The staff was constantly walking through the restaurant running meals, wiping tables, and checking on guests. Nice! Zoe's is fast, healthy, affordable, and yummy - basically everything they're going for. I will definitely be back. The only thing I could possibly be disappointed in was that their flavored tea (hibiscus) was unsweetened and decaf - um, no...and the sweet tea wasn't sweet enough. No worries, I mixed it with lemonade.
(4)Vy D.
I've been here a few times now and the food is always pretty good. However the service is pretty slow. My favorite dish is the steak kabobs.
(4)Amanda H.
We stopped in one afternoon as we were in the area and hungry. The place is very large and appeared to be well-staffed. Our waitress (or order-taker) was very friendly and got our order correct. You order at a counter and then take a number to the table, so that's what we did. I tried their hibiscus green tea and was not a fan and my husband said their sweet tea was not very sweet. I ordered a turkey stacker which was phenomenal while he ordered a chicken salad sandwich with mayo-free potato salad as a side. For someone who is hunting for a healthier meal, it was great. Just be prepared to wait a while for your food.
(3)Fae W.
Great place to eat delicious and healthy. Try the kale salad and be sure to download their app for freebies.
(4)Brianna M.
Love this place! My favorite place to eat in Town Centre. It is healthy and refreshing :-)
(5)Jeffrey A.
The service today was horrible. Only one person taking orders and delivering food. We have been waiting for our food for over 30 minutes now .
(1)John P.
Good lunch place, fast service and tasty FRESH food. Mediterranean Tuna Pita with side Greek salad really hit the spot. Lots of shopping nearby.
(5)Tracy G.
Stopped in here for a late dinner on a Wednesday night. I was expecting mostly salads and sandwiches but was pleasantly surprised with the Mediterranean/Middle Eastern cuisine options. One of our entrees took a bit longer to come out so we were offered some pita and hummus for the extra wait. I'm not normally a huge hummus fan, but this was pretty good; creamy and flavorful. I ordered the chicken kabob with rice and white beans. The rice was simple but tasty and the white beans were probably my favorite part of the meal. My chicken didn't have a ton of flavor and came out REALLY dry. Dipping it in the hummus helped. There are a lot of very good Middle Eastern restaurants and cafe's in the area so this one wouldn't be at the top of my list, but it has a very convenient location being centrally located at Town Center in Mt. Pleasant. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there but would definitely be willing to give it a try again if I was in the area.

Doing a little last minute shopping in Mt. P and decided to grab a bite to eat. Went to Zoës Kitchen. The food was HORRIBLE!!!! First time in very long time I actually just got up and walked out. If it wasn't a pay before you eat, I'd have refused to pay. I wasn't expecting any grand meal by any means but if you can't get kabobs right, find something else to do. Sitting in a pizzeria now hoping to get something decent. In short if you happen to be shopping at Town Center in Mt. P I would highly recommend staying away from Zoës Kitchen.
(1)Kelly G.
Our first few times dining here we were so impressed with Zoe's kitchen. The last few times it was hit or miss. Dry chicken a few times. The salad is always great tho. Download the app and scan your receipt for free appetizers.
(3)Kelli P.
Don't waste you time or money, the food isn't remotely fresh and you'll wait well over 30 minutes to get it.
(1)Andrew H.
I went to Zoe's Kitchen recently because I saw all the Yelpers raving about it like it was some Mat Zo concert where they gave out ecstasy and free PBR. Plus, as a good Greek boy, I had to try the latest and greatest in Charleston Greek cuisine. Pay attention to this review, my friends, because I know FAR more about Greeks and their people (I am born and bred) than anyone else who has reviewed this place so far. First, the ambience. My god, it was awful. This place is clean, fresh, colorful and the people are friendly. Three strikes against any Greek place I have ever been to! Where is the snooty service? The ruthless Greek man who is prime overlord over all his employees who are miserable and have been for years? Why are the floors so clean and menu and kitchen so simple? I was horrified, I tell you. It was like walking into a sorority girl's dorm room where all her things were pink and all you saw were pearl earrings, yoga pants and boots (now I love that, but play with me here). The menu was FAR too small. Where were the hot dogs? The baked spaghetti? The fried zucchini? The Texas Pete on the tables? The signs for their breakfast biscuits that taste like your grandmother's housecoat? Why do they take CREDIT CARDS? You can't launder money doing that crap, just ask my uncle, he hasn't paid a dime of taxes for 30 years. Why are refills FREE? No Greek allows his customers to have ALL you can drink beverages. We do this because last time we allowed all you can do anything, our COUNTRY went bankrupt. Why did no one try to speak to me in Greek when I ordered and then judged me when I answered in English? The food itself wasn't bad, but you can't screw up a Greek salad, well, maybe you can, but whatever. Zoe's Kitchen gets 1 star for striking out so often it made the 2013 Braves look like a patient team that tried to draw walks once in a while. Go here if you want an okay Greek salad but PLEASE do not take it as an authentic Greek experience. Chances are, you won't be robbed of your life savings by my uncle, and that's just too damn bad.

Today drew a close to dining at Zoe's. Standards and consistent quality are lacking to a degree below par. Last 4 visits have been comical for wrong order being delivered multiple times, lack of a apology and burnt food. Steak roll ups charred black and server asked us "why we couldn't just eat it". The straw that broke their camel's back was today when the white beans were delivered burnt, I returned them to their counter to have the employee take them cup.from my hand and walk into their kitchen with nothing said and no return. I went back to my table with no site of that employee again. Must of been a shift change and a lack of caring. Hope Mt. Pleasant gets another fresh food place soon!
(1)Alicia Z.
I like the concept of this place, it's quick and the price is right. The employees were very friendly. My husband and I both had the Greek chicken pita. This is why I gave it 3 stars... The chicken didn't have very much flavor, even when we added dressing... I don't think I'll be racing back here anytime soon. If I do come back, I'll order something else...
(3)Josh A.
Had the Spinach roll up with chicken and white beans. They were quite delicious and hit the spot. Most importantly, it was under $10! Dude walked past our table a few times with our dinner. Not sure why though, only a few other people in at the time. Overall though, a place I'd visit again.
(3)Christi T.
I really wanted to like this place a lot more than I actually did. Having been intrigued by the simple and fresh Mediterranean theme they had going on my husband and were excited to try it after watching a flick in the Mount Pleasant Town Center. Having been a chilly night I decided on the cup of Chicken and Orzo soup and half of the Zoes Original Chicken Salad Sandwich. The Chicken and Orzo was satisfying but it lacked a Mediterranean flare so in the end it tasted much more like a plain jane chicken noodle soup. They even served saltines along side. A couple slices of pita bread alone would make it better. The chicken salad sandwich was again satisfying but it too lacked Mediterranean flavors. To be entirely honest, upon my first bite I could've sworn they served me the tuna salad by mistake! The texture of the chicken was broken down so much so that if it wasn't for the distinct flavor that albacore has I would've been convinced it wasn't chicken. My husband ordered the Greek chicken pita with a side of the potato salad. He wasn't over the moon for the pita sandwich rating it at average but the potato salad was very flavorful. Possibly the most flavorful and satisfying of the all that we had. Overall it wasn't a terrible experience but it definitely isn't a place I'll really go out of my way for to have again. Just wasn't memorable enough.
(2)Kimber S.
Was a great lunch, Zoe's club pita and the slaw was yummy! Just what I needed on the gorgeous day!
(4)Glenn P.
Terrible today! Pour service/attitude, dining room very dirty, out of tomato soup 230 on cold rainy Saturday, chix soup served cold, long wait for food w/ very few people won't be back any time soon!
(1)Anne M.
Fast and healthy with friendly staff. Fits their slogan of "eat what you love, love how you feel." Quinoa salad had the perfect combination of authentic mediterranean flavors paired with a short preparation time. Perfect to grab on the go!
(4)Evan T.
I found this chain while in San Antonio, TX. After doing a search I found that there was one in Mt. Pleasant. This is a great place to eat if you are out shopping in Towne Center or if you need a quick bite while over in the area. Most of their menu is health conscious and very affordable. The service I have had here has always been great and very knowledgeable of the menu. I highly recommend this place.
(4)Sandy S.
This restaurant has the very freshest, best tasting food in Mt. Pleasant !! Very friendly, accommodating service and incredible home-made desserts!!
(5)Ellen W.
Food was good. Very casual restaurant, more like a quick restaurant than a nice sit down restaurant. The hummus exceeded my expectations. The steak kabobs was good not great but better than some that ie had before. Priced very reasonable.
(4)Mark K.
Went to Zoes Kitchen last night wanting to try something new. The menu was diverse and the prices appear reasonable. I ordered the Chicken Pita Pizza and my adult daughter ordered the Turkey Stack sandwich. The pizza had very good flavor but came to me lukewarm at best. The greek salad that came with it was good but very dry. My daughter's sandwich was delivered without any tomato on it but they quickly remedied that. Once she ate it, she said the bread was greasy and the sandwich was so-so. Also, after we placed our order, the girl at the register said their card reader was down and they could only accept cash (glad I had enough on me). It would have been nice is she informed us prior to ordering. Anyway, this place appears to have good potential but it appears they are still working out the kinks (only opened a few weeks ago). Last night, there were minimal customers and a large staff...kind of hard to believe they couldn't get things straight. I'll wait a while before going back but I think they have potential to be good.
